2019 - Schematic Design
This small Scandinavian inspired woodland cabin rests peacefully in its 18 acre forested site, small in footprint, big in space, its has three sleeping areas, one on the ground level, two lofted above. A full kitchen and bathroom allow for all the comforts of home. Large pocketing glazed doors provide ample framed views into the wilderness beyond, which pocket away to connect the interior to the exterior. Durable standing seam metal roofing, and a traditional Scandinavian pigmented red pine-tar exterior wood siding provide a durable and rustic appearance, while light wood provides a timeless, cozy, and warm interior, accents of blackened metal add texture and tactility to the interior space.
