David founded the firm in 2021 out of a desire to work directly with clients, on custom, yet attainable design oriented projects, as unique to them, as the places they occupy. Prior to establishing his own practice, David worked at the highly esteemed modern architecture and design firms of Bates Masi Architects and Ro Rockett Design, where he led complex award-winning projects in Aspen, Lake Tahoe, The Hamptons, Upstate New York, & The San Francisco Bay Area. David enjoys designing at multiple scales, from site planning to interiors and furniture, he holds degrees in architecture and interior design, and maintains active architecture licenses in California, Colorado, and New York.

David grew up in rural Upstate New York exploring the outdoors in the Adirondack Mountains, and working on historic lakefront camps with his father who is a general contractor in the Adirondacks. Prior to practicing architecture, David spent four years on active duty in the US Air Force. David resides in beautiful Sausalito, California with his wife and their dog, and part-time in the Adirondacks in Upstate New York. When not in the studio, David can be found outside fly-fishing, mountain biking, skiing, or out on the water sailing or canoeing. David’s lifelong passion for the outdoors, has strong ties back to the design studio, our favorite projects are those where design and adventure meet friendly and interesting clients.
