Bio:
David Kornmeyer, AIA, NCARB
Principal Architect
Master of Architecture - University of Colorado
B.S. - Weber State University, Ogden Utah
David founded the firm in 2021 out of a desire to work directly with clients on custom, attainable, design-driven projects — each as unique as the people and places they serve. Prior to establishing his own practice, David worked at the highly regarded firms of Bates Masi Architects and Ro Rockett Design, where he led complex, award-winning projects across Aspen, Lake Tahoe, the Hamptons, Upstate New York, and the San Francisco Bay Area. He designs fluidly across scales — from site planning to interiors and furniture — and holds degrees in both architecture and interior design. David maintains active licenses in California, Colorado, Utah, and New York, and currently serves as a Historic Preservation Commissioner for the City of Sausalito.
David grew up in rural Upstate New York, working alongside his father — a general contractor on historic Adirondack lakefront camps. Before architecture, he served four years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force. He now lives in Sausalito, California with his wife, young son, and their dog Otto, and spends part of the year at the family camp in the Adirondacks. When he's not in the studio, David is outside — fly-fishing, mountain biking, skiing, sailing, or canoeing in the Adirondacks. That lifelong connection to the outdoors runs directly through his work. His favorite projects are where good design, wild places, and interesting clients come together.
