Residence and studio for a painter / ceramicist on a bucolic 6 acre lot in Bethel, NY. Utilizing simple aggregated forms, truss construction, and common materials, this project delivers architecture on a tight budget. This provides a simple open layout for living, working and showing. The interior consists of utilitarian finishes—white, concrete, and birch plywood—allowing for ease of maintenance and clean up, and a paired back palate to allow the artworks to take precedence.
